Why

The "free" QR code that stops working when you stop paying

Many generators do not put your link in the code. They put a short link to their own server, which then redirects. That is how they count scans and, after a trial period, ask for a subscription. When you stop paying, the code on the menu, the poster or the business card stops working.

Here the code contains exactly what you typed. Print a thousand posters: if we disappeared tomorrow, the code would work the same.

What you can do

  • A QR code for a link, free text, a Wi-Fi network or a business card (vCard)
  • PNG download at 512, 1024 or 2048 px, or SVG for print at any size
  • Your own colours, with a warning when the contrast is too low to scan
  • An error-correction level for codes printed small or exposed to wear

What it does not do

  • It does not track scans and has no statistics — the code never passes through us
  • It cannot be edited after printing: the content is in the code, not on a server
  • It does not place a logo over the code

What it does not do is what we do not want it to do. A good QR code depends on nobody.

Questions

Does the QR code expire?
No. The code contains your link or text directly, not a reference to a server. It works as long as the link inside it works.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
No, and that is our choice. Statistics require every scan to pass through a server, which is exactly what we prevent. If you want numbers, put a link with campaign parameters (utm) to your own site in the code and read them in your own analytics.
PNG or SVG?
PNG for screens, documents and social media. SVG for print: it scales to any size without losing sharpness, and print shops prefer it.
How small can I print it?
For a short link, 2 cm on a side scans fine from a phone's normal distance. The longer the content, the denser the code and the more space it needs. Correction level H helps on surfaces that get scratched.
Does the data I enter reach you?
No. The code is generated in your browser; the page sends nothing to the server. Your Wi-Fi password and contact details stay on your device.
