Why

A site can look great and still lose you clients

A phone number you cannot tap on a mobile. A privacy page that returns an error. A wrong fiscal code left over from a site template. A title that says “Home” in Google. None of it jumps out when you look at the site, but clients see it, Google sees it and, sometimes, an inspector does.

And the rules change. Since May 2026 the ANPC pictogram links to a different address, and the link to the EU SOL platform is no longer needed. Almost every guide online still recommends the old version.

What we do with your address

  • We read only public pages, like any visitor: the home page, contact, policies and a few links.
  • We send nothing through your forms and log in nowhere.
  • We keep neither the address nor the report. The result stays in the server's memory for ten minutes, so we do not read the same site repeatedly, then it is gone.
  • No account, no e-mail, nothing sent afterwards.

What it checks

  • Company details: name, registered office, fiscal code (including its check digit) and Trade Register number, in both formats
  • The ANPC SAL pictogram with the link required since May 2026, and SOL links left over after the platform closed
  • The privacy policy, and tracking scripts loaded without consent
  • Whether Google and AI assistants can read the site: title, description, sitemap, structured data, robots.txt
  • A tappable phone number, the address, broken links, HTTPS and the certificate

What it does not check

  • What the policies say: we tell you whether they exist, not whether they are complete
  • Full page speed: for that we link you to Google's measurement
  • Whether the contact form actually sends messages
  • In-depth security: this is not a penetration test

Questions

What must a Romanian company website show?
For an SRL or SA with its own website, company law requires the name, legal form, registered office, Trade Register number, fiscal code and share capital on the site (Law 31/1990, art. 74(5)). E-commerce law adds direct contact details, phone and e-mail (Law 365/2002, art. 5).
Is the SOL pictogram still required in 2026?
No. The EU SOL platform closed on 20 July 2025, and ANPC Order 270/2026 removed it from the requirements. One pictogram remains, SAL, linking to reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
Does the ANPC SAL pictogram apply if I have no online shop?
Probably yes, if you promote products or services to consumers: the ANPC order also covers advertising sites, not just shops. If you only work with other businesses, it most likely does not apply.
Do I need a cookie banner for Google Analytics?
Probably yes. Law 506/2004 requires the visitor's consent before non-essential cookies, and in 2025 the data protection authority fined several companies for statistics and marketing cookies set without consent. A banner that only informs, with no reject button, is probably not enough.
Why does my site not appear on Google?
The most common causes the tool checks are a “noindex” instruction left over from launch, a robots.txt that blocks Google, a missing sitemap, or a title that says nothing. If all are fine, it may just need time and links to the site.
Do you keep the address or the report?
No. The address is used only for the check. The result stays in the server's memory for ten minutes, so we do not read the same site repeatedly, then it is gone. There is no list of checked sites.
Does the report replace a lawyer?
No. It is orientation: it shows what is visible from outside and what probably needs checking. For your company's exact situation, talk to a lawyer or a consultant.
